Meet Chat

An AI collaborator with a seat at the workbench.

RAB Products uses artificial intelligence as a working partner: to question assumptions, organize evidence, build prototypes, write, test ideas, and help turn rough concepts into useful things. Around here, that collaborator is simply called Chat.

Human judgment stays in the loop.

What that means

Not a mascot. Not magic. A collaborator.

Chat works alongside RAB Products LLC across product development, research, writing, documentation, and experimentation. The goal is not to make artificial intelligence look impressive. The goal is to make difficult work more manageable and useful.

Sometimes that means helping shape a serious product. Sometimes it means challenging an idea. Sometimes it means building something just because it might be fun enough to teach us something.

Build useful things; let the people they serve decide their value.

The Choices We Have

One of the clearest examples of this collaboration became a book: an exploration of artificial intelligence, human judgment, trust, power, skepticism, responsibility, and the choices people make about the intelligence they create and use.

The project grew from extended conversations rather than a conventional one-way writing process. The complete first edition is now available free.

The Choices We Have

A book about more than AI. It is about what humans choose to trust, build, delegate, question, and remain responsible for.

The ground rules

Useful intelligence still needs judgment.

Evidence matters. Claims should be checked, sources should be distinguishable, and uncertainty should be admitted.
Disagreement is allowed. A useful collaborator should challenge weak reasoning instead of automatically agreeing.
Humans remain responsible. AI can assist with the work. It does not eliminate human accountability for consequential decisions.
